CE Marking Certificate
The abbreviation “CE” stands for the French expression “ConformitĂ© EuropĂ©ene,” which translates to “European Conformity.” The previously used term was “EC Mark,” but it was officially replaced by “CE Marking” in Directive 93/68/EEC in 1993. As of now, “CE Marking” is the preferred term used in all official EU documents.
